About me
I began experimenting with user interface design when I was around 14, redesigning iOS apps in Adobe XD and later teaching myself Figma. My A Level EPQ project, a technology safety focused informational app for the elderly, was awarded an A*.
Equipped with this foundation, I have honed my skills and developed new ones through my degree in User Experience Design at Norwich University of the Arts, working on a range of UX, UI, Product Design and Web Design briefs, earning a number of first class marks for projects featured in this portfolio.
In 2023, I attended Sync the City – an industry competition in Norwich with a 54-hour time limit to design and realise a start-up – where I joined a small team which soon became HubL. I designed a mobile website prototype for the team, which contributed to being voted winner of the People’s Choice Award.
Working within a small team following the event, I designed, prototyped and developed the hubl.org.uk website using WordPress to create a bespoke language assessment booking and management system. I also led decisions surrounding brand identity, and created brand guidelines and other visual brand assets. Within three months of its public launch in October 2024, the website has facilitated over 100 language assessments enabling learners to access local English classes.
I returned to Sync in 2024, and was lucky enough to find myself part of another excellent team – ‘The Good Eggs’ – in which my UI design work also contributed to another win of the People’s Choice Award, a second year running for me, an achievement I am very proud of.
Set to graduate in July 2025, I am now completing my final projects whilst considering career paths in product design, website design and user interface design.
